Rules and Regulations

1. The society shall be governed by a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Committee elected annually at a General Meeting .

2. Annual General Meeting to be held in the second week of October.

3. All competitors must be residents of the Parishes of Crawford, Abington, Crawfordjohn, Wanlockhead, Leadhills, Elvanfoot or Daer. Industrial sections II & Arts & Craft section only will be an OPEN section to anyone out of these Parishes

4. All complaints must be lodged to a Committee member before the close of the show at 4pm. The Committee's decision is final

5. The hall will be open on Friday prior to the show from 7pm to 9pm and on Saturday, the day of the show from 8am to 9.45am for submission of exhibits. All pot plants by 9.30am. Any article after 9.45am will be for exhibition only.

6. Every article for competition must be accompanied by a sealed ticket obtainable at the time of entry, containing the name and address of the competitor, on the outside of which must be marked the class number. If not so marked the committee will not be responsible for misplaced entries. Tickets must be attached to the entry by the competitor before handing over the article.

7. Competitors may show a maximum of two entries in each class, but where only one entry in class prize at the judges discretion.

8. Every competitor shall be bound if required to satisfy the Committee that the articles brought forward have been grown by the competitor for two months before the show.

9. The Committee shall have the power to withhold prizes for any infringement of the rules.

10. The Committee have the power to reduce prize money if the show is not a success, also to decide on any dispute not covered by the rules.

11. Industrial Section ll and Arts and Crafts prize-winning exhibits may not be re-entered in the show for the next three years.

12. Any flowers or articles for sale please mark ticket.

13. Prize money will be paid out in the Library on Wednesday night after the show between 7.30pm and 8.30pm

14. Any prize money not collected as above will be deemed to be a donation to the Flower Show and will be paid back into the funds as such.


NO EXHIBITS TO BE REMOVED FROM THE SHOW BEFORE 4PM.
